Terms of service
These terms are the agreement between your organisation and us when you use Resono. They are written to be read. Where a clause matters most, it says so plainly.
1Who we are
Resono is provided by Sameer, sole proprietor, trading as Resono, Rohini, Sector 4, Delhi, India (“Resono”, “we”, “us”). “You” means the organisation that uses Resono, and everyone it gives access to. The website is resono.co.in.
2Who may use Resono
Reading this website asks nothing of you. These terms apply once you have an account: you accept them by ticking the boxes when you create it, and if they change, we ask you to accept the new version before you continue. We keep a record of which version you accepted, the words you agreed to, when, and the IP address and browser you used, and either of us may rely on it. Resono is for businesses. To use it you must be at least 18, and you must have the authority to accept these terms on behalf of your organisation.
3Your account
- Access is by request and approval. We may decline a request without giving a reason.
- You are responsible for everyone you invite into your organisation, for the roles you give them, and for everything done with their access.
- Keep sign-in details private. Tell us at support@resono.co.in as soon as you suspect misuse.
4What the service is, and what it relies on
Resono lets you build voice agents that hold phone conversations on your behalf, answering calls and placing them, and keeps a record of every call.
Calls travel through telephone carriers, and the agent listens, thinks and speaks through AI providers. These are named in our privacy policy. We choose them with care, but we do not control them, and the service depends on them working. We do not promise that Resono will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features; if a change takes away something you rely on, we will tell you before it happens.
Connected Google accounts. If you connect a Google account, you authorise Resono to use it as you choose: to read the spreadsheets you pick and write each call’s result back to them, and to read when your calendar is busy and add the events your agents book, with invitations sent from your own address. You choose which agents may use it, and you can disconnect it at any time. Your Google account stays under Google’s own terms, and our privacy policy says what we do with what we reach.
5Your responsibilities for every call
Resono places and answers calls on your instructions, so each call is yours. You are responsible for making sure it is lawful. In particular, you must:
- have a lawful basis, and where the law requires it, consent, to call every person on every list you give Resono, and to process their details;
- follow the telecom rules that apply to you, including those of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India: the Do Not Disturb registry, registration on the DLT platform for commercial communication, and any limits on the hours at which people may be called;
- tell the people you call, before you call them, that they may be called on your behalf by an AI agent and that the call will be recorded: in the terms or notice they agree to when they give you their details, such as on your website’s form, and at the start of the call as well wherever the law requires it. Every call on Resono is recorded, and Resono does not add an announcement of its own;
- make sure the agent says which business is calling, and does not claim to be a person if somebody sincerely asks whether they are speaking to one;
- stop calling anyone who asks you to, and remove them from your lists.
6What Resono may not be used for
You may not use Resono, or let anybody use it, to:
- break any law, or help anybody else break one;
- make unsolicited, harassing, threatening, abusive or misleading calls;
- impersonate a real person or organisation, or use a voice that copies a real person without their documented consent;
- deceive people about who is calling or why, or pressure them into payments;
- target children, or call anybody you know to be a child;
- collect passwords, card numbers, one-time codes or banking details over a call;
- replace an emergency service, or give medical, legal or financial decisions without a qualified person behind them;
- attack, overload, copy or reverse-engineer Resono, or get around its limits or its billing.
7The agent is an AI, and it can be wrong
The agent’s replies are written by an AI model from your instructions and your documents. It can misunderstand a caller, mishear a word, or say something wrong. You are responsible for what you tell the agent to do, for the accuracy of the documents you give it, and for reviewing its calls. Resono keeps the recording, the transcript and a full record of every call so that you can.
8Your content, recordings, and how long we keep them
Your instructions, documents, contact lists, and the recordings and transcripts of your calls are yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide Resono to you, to keep it secure, and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train AI models.
Every call made or received through Resono is recorded, with a written transcript and a log of how the agent handled it. Each is kept for the period set out in our privacy policy and then deleted automatically; once deleted, it cannot be recovered. Data deleted at the end of its period is deleted as agreed, not lost. If you need a copy of anything, ask us at least 7 days before it is due to be deleted and we will send you one. If a law that applies to your business requires you to keep call records for longer than these periods, it is your responsibility to request and keep those copies.
9Personal data in your calls
For the personal data of the people you call and the lists you upload, you are the Data Fiduciary and Resono is your Data Processor, as those terms are used in the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. This means that:
- we process that data only to provide Resono to you, following your instructions;
- only people who need it to run the service can reach it, and they are bound to keep it confidential;
- we protect it with the measures described in our privacy policy;
- we use only the processors named there, and we will tell you before we add one;
- we will help you answer requests from the people whose data it is;
- we will tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a breach affecting it;
- we keep a campaign’s list only while the campaign runs; what each call used is kept with that call, so you can always show who was called and with what;
- we delete it on the schedule in the privacy policy, or sooner when you ask. If you need a copy before it is deleted, ask us at least 7 days before its deletion date and we will send you one; the schedule itself does not change.
For the details of you and your team, such as names and email addresses, we are the Data Fiduciary, and our privacy policy explains how we use them.
10Fees, credits and taxes
- The price is agreed with you, or shown to you, before you pay. Calls are paid for with prepaid credits, which are used as each call ends, according to what that call actually used.
- Prices do not include taxes. GST and any other applicable tax is added.
- We may change prices. We will tell you at least 30 days before a change applies to you.
- Refunds are covered by our refund and cancellation policy.
11Suspension and closing an account
You can stop using Resono and ask us to close your account at any time by writing to support@resono.co.in. We may suspend or close an account, without notice where the risk is immediate, if it breaks these terms, puts people or the service at risk, has not paid, or if the law requires us to. When an account closes, its data is deleted on the schedule in the privacy policy. Download anything you want to keep first.
12Confidentiality
Each of us will keep private the other’s non-public information that it learns through Resono, and use it only for the purpose of this agreement, unless the law requires us to disclose it.
13Our platform
Resono itself, its software, design and name, belongs to us. These terms give you the right to use it while your account is open, and nothing more. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
14No promises beyond these terms
Resono is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will suit a particular purpose, or that any call will reach, be understood by, or produce a result with the person called.
15Limit of our liability
To the extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, lost business or lost data; and our total liability for all claims connected with Resono is limited to the amount you paid us for Resono in the three months before the event that caused the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
16Your indemnity
You will cover us for claims, losses and costs that arise from the calls made on your instructions, the content and lists you give Resono, or your breach of these terms or of the law.
17Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will email the people who manage your organisation at least 15 days before it takes effect, and each person with an account is asked to accept the new version before they continue. Using Resono after that date means accepting the change. The date at the top of this page shows when the terms last changed.
18Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute arises, we will first try to settle it by talking for 30 days. If we cannot, the courts at Delhi will have exclusive jurisdiction.
